Shattered Mirrors

Every stranger wears a different face,
Still I find myself in every gaze.
I’ve been searching for the missing light,
Only to discover it was mine.

Broken pieces never disappear.
They just wait until you’re standing here.
Every crack reflects another part
Of the room I locked inside my heart.

Maybe all the ghosts I learned to fight
Were only asking to be seen tonight.

If I stand inside the mirror,
Will it show the truth or fear?
If I lose another version of myself,
Will anybody notice?

I’m tired of chasing shadows
That were never really mine.
Maybe healing starts the moment
I stop trying to outrun my mind.

I don’t need another answer.
I don’t need another sign.
Maybe every broken mirror
Only wanted me to look inside.

Maybe all this time
The city wasn’t calling me.
It was me…

Now I stand inside the mirror.
I don’t recognize the fear.
Every shattered piece is finding where it fits.
Every scar belongs here.

No more chasing shadows.
No more running through the night.
If the city lives inside me,
Maybe I can finally call it home.
